GIFTING
Unlike non-profit organizations which accept charitable tax deductions, I Am Academy for Lifelong Learning, Inc. is a for profit company which accepts gifts from supporters who believe in our mission to promote lifelong progressive learning experiences, which is an alternative to the test-oriented instructions legislated by the Federal No Child Left Behind educational funding act.
-
I Am Academy for Lifelong Learning is a private school not financed by the state, but largely paid for by its parents and supports. One benefit of not being funded by the state is not having to follow the prescribed routine of costly mandatory subject area testing. We choose not to require a plethora of standardize testing because these scores have a problematic correlation with family income, gender and race and ethnicity.
-
In the absence of generous supporters, the cost of attending I Am Academy for Lifelong Learning, Inc. may have to be fully covered by parents who may lack the resources to afford their students the opportunity of a private educational program.
